If you do not book the Start point hotel the night before start date, any additional cost incurred in order to meet up with your group is at your own expense.
Pre or post trip accommodation
No accommodation included before and after the trip. You can purchase the accommodation with us. Please visit our website at www.activetravelshop.com. For your convenience, we suggest you book the starting point hotel.
Normal check in time at the hotel is after 14:00.
Accommodation in the trips
The style of accommodation described in the day to day itinerary is a guideline. On rare occasions, alternative arrangements may need to be made due to the lack of availability of rooms in our usual accommodation. A similar standard of accommodation will be used in these instances.
Accommodation on this trip is on a twin/multi share basis.
Throughout the trip we request that our hotels prepare rooms in time for our arrival, especially if we are arriving prior to normal check in time. However this is not always possible which means we will not be able to check-in immediately on arrival at some hotels. Instead, we can store our luggage and explore our new destination.
If you have purchased pre or post trip accommodation (if available), you may be required to change rooms from your trip accommodation for these extra nights.
Sleeper trains have 4 beds to a compartment (2 upper/2 lower) for the overnight portion of the journey. A sheet, pillow and blanket are provided, but some people prefer to bring their own sleeping sheet.
Booking-close-date is 20 days prior to departure. At the time of the booking-close-date ATA will confirm the final number of traveler booking the trip.
Departure cannot run?
If minimum numbers of traveler have not been met at the Booking-close-date, then the trip will be cancelled and notification sent to travelers in the reservation list. The set departure price can be revised according to the existing number of traveler or private tour can be arranged as an alternative.
All ATA travelers need to be in good physical health in order to participate fully in the group travel experience. If, in the opinion of our tour guide, any traveler is unable to complete the itinerary without undue risk to themselves and/or the rest of the group, ATA reserves the right to exclude them from all or part of a trip without refund. We therefore ask that you read the itinerary in these trip notes thoroughly and then realistically self-assess your physical ability to complete the trip as described. Please consult with your doctor if you have any doubts.
There are no specific health requirements for this trip. However, you should consult your doctor for up-to-date information and prescriptions for vaccinations, travel sickness tablets, anti-malarial requirements and any reasonably foreseeable illnesses before your departure. We recommend that you carry a first aid kit as well as any personal medical requirements (including a spare pair of glasses) as we do travel to areas that are away from medical facilities. Please be aware that for legal reasons any leaders/guides are prohibited from administering any type of drug including headache tablets and antibiotics. Please ensure that you are adequately prepared.
A Couple of Rules
Illegal drugs will not be tolerated on our trips. Possessing or using drugs not only contravenes the laws of the land but also puts the rest of the group at risk. Smoking marijuana and opium is a part of local culture in some parts of the world but is not acceptable for ATA travelers.
The exploitation of prostitutes will not be tolerated either. Our tour guide has the right to expel any member of the group if drugs are found in their possession or if they use prostitutes.
If you are happy with the services provided by your local guides and drivers a tip - though not compulsory - is appropriate. While it may not be customary to you, it is of great significance to the people who will take care of you during your travels, inspires excellent service, and is an entrenched feature of the tourism industry across many ATA destinations.
Share a room and Save - A great idea for single travelers
When traveling alone, we understand that some clients do not want to incur the expense of an additional single room supplement. With this in mind, on the majority of our itineraries, ATA offers you the opportunity to purchase these tours on a room-sharing basis. We will accommodate you with a fellow passenger of the same gender on a 'two-bedded' basis (non-smoking rooms only). Please note that, regrettably, we cannot guarantee that roommates will be of a similar age group. Even so, it is an enjoyable way to travel and get to make new friends, and a positive way to stretch your holiday budget. If we fail to match you, the single supplement will be applied.
Get our interesting Travel Gift
Either you book the whole country package or a shorter set departure tour you will receive our Travel Gifts, which can be Water Puppet Show ticket or silk sleeping bag, airport transfer or private half-day city tour and more... Our travel consultant would advice you the available gifts at the time of booking and you can choose the one you like.
